Day 1: Arrival to Reykjavik
Welcome to your Iceland honeymoon! After landing in Keflavik airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation located in Reykjavik city center. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your free time in the Northernmost capital of the world and rest before starting your adventurous honeymoon. You might want to visit one of many Reykjavik’s gourmet restaurants, enjoy panoramic views from Perlan or Hallgrimskirkja church and more!
Day 2: The romantic Snaefellsnes peninsula
Pick up the rental car in the morning and start your honeymoon by driving towards romantic Snaefellsnes peninsula. There you will visit such sights as Ytri-Tunga beach with seals, black old Budir church, amazing lava fields, the most photographed Kirkjufell mountain and more! Spend the night in romantic accommodation surrounded with amazing views in the area.
Today you can choose some optional activities like caving tour, orca whale watching tour.
Day 3: West of Iceland and impressive fjords
Start your day early by visiting the rest of the amazing sights located in this peninsula. Do a hike to a crater, enjoy afternoon on a lovely beach, try out natural sparkling water coming right from the ground. Wave goodbye to the magical Snaefellsnes peninsula and continue to the city Husafell. On the way visit impressive Hraunfossar falls and enjoy amazing fjord scenery. Spend the night in the area.
Today you can add an Into the glacier tour.
Day 4: Golden Circle experience
Leave the west of Iceland behind and continue to the famous Golden Circle. Your first stop on the Circle will be Thingvellir National Park where the tectonic plates between Eurasia and Americas are splitting up. After the National Park, visit Geyser which erupts every 4-8 minutes. Seeing the eruption is definitely an entertaining experience! After visiting the Geysir, drive to the last stop on the Golden Circle – Gullfoss waterfall. When you are done visiting the main sights on the Golden Circle, you might want to stop in Fridheimar tomato farm for a delicious soup or visit Kerid crater filled with water. Spend the night in the area.
On this day you can add diving/snorkeling in Silfra tour, horseback riding tour and more!
Day 5: South coast adventure
Today is the day for the waterfalls and black beaches! Start your day by visiting Seljalandsfoss (waterfall that you can walk behind) and the hidden waterfall nearby. Be sure to bring waterproof boots and jackets! Continue to Skogafoss waterfall, where you can climb up the stairs and enjoy the view of the waterfall from above. These waterfalls offer a great opportunities for amazing honeymoon photos! After experiencing the waterfalls, continue to village Vik, where you will visit the famous black beaches and see beautiful Reynisfjara cliffs. If you are traveling in the summer, you might even see cute little puffins! Stay the night in the area of Vik in a romantic accommodation.
Today you can add such tours as glacier walk, snowmobile tour and more!
Day 6: South Coast & Reykjavik
Unfortunately it’s time to leave the countryside behind and drive back to Reykjavik. On the way back you can visit some more sights located on the South Coast. You might want to stop for a swim in romantic Seljavallalaug pool, or stop for a short hike where you can hike up a hot river and bathe in it! Drop off the rental car in the evening and spend the night in cozy accommodation in the heart of Reykjavik.
Day 7: Free day in Reykjavik
Today is a day for resting after this adventurous honeymoon trip! Enjoy the city attractions, visit the museums and other famous sights such as main shopping street and more. If you are still up for an adventure, you can try whale watching tour or city walking/biking tour. You can as well spend the day relaxing in the Blue Lagoon located in beautiful lava fields. Overnight in the same accommodation as the night before.
Day 8: Departure
It’s time to travel home and leave this amazing country behind. You will be transferred to Keflavik airport in time for your flight. We thank you for traveling with JS-Kria Travel and wish you to see you again in the future!
