9 day trip for amateur photographers and professionals
This trip is designed specially for amateur photographers and professionals. You will scour the entire southern coast almost up to the East Fjords in 9 days. Ever-changing landscapes, fresh air, Icelandic wind and, of course, countless new pictures will make your trip to Iceland unforgettable!
Day 1 / Arrival Reykjavik
Arrival in Iceland. Meet your guide at the airport. The Reykjanes Peninsula. The Blue Lagoon, Grindavík, Krísuvík, Lake Kleifarvatn. Stay the night in Reykjavík.
Day 2 / The Golden Circle: Thingvellir-Geysir-Gullfoss
Breakfast. The Golden Circle: Thingvellir-Geysir-Gullfoss. Stay the night in the Geysir region or in the Flúðir region.
Day 3 / Landmannalaugar
Breakfast. Trip to the stunningly beautiful Landmannalaugar region, also known as a national reserve. Colourful rhyolite mountains, lava fields covered with moss and wastelands of sand make this location a photographer’s paradise. Stay the night in a hotel in the town of Leirubakki or Hella.
Day 4 / Vestmannaeyjar island
Breakfast. A ferry trip from the Landeyjar Harbour to the Vestmannaeyjar island at 10 AM. The tour around the Vestmannaeyjar island includes visiting the remains of Eldfell, a volcano that erupted in 1973, visiting the new Eldheimar Volcano Museum, which seeks to educate visitors about the consequences of volcanic eruption, climbing up to Stórhöfði, the highest and the windiest place not only in the Vestmannaeyjar islands but in Iceland as well. The view up there is magnificent, which is very important for photographers! There will be a chance to use the services of Ribsafari and journey along the shores of the Vestmannaeyjar islands by motor boat. End the day by relaxing in a swimming pool and having a hearty Icelandic dinner. Stay the night on Vestmannaeyjar Island.
Day 5 / Vík
Breakfast. Return trip by ferry at 11:30 AM. Head further southwards. Visit Reynisfjara and Dyrhoelay. Stay the night in the town of Vik or in the surrounding area.
Day 6 / Skaftafell National park
Breakfast. Skaftafell National Park. Svartifoss, the waterfall of love. Those who wish to can take a walk on the Skaftafellsjökull glacier or at least take a picture of it. Stay the night in the surroundings of the Skaftafell National Park.
Day 7 / Jökulsárlón lagoon-Höfn
Breakfast. Visit the Jokulsarlon Lagoon, a place where photographers forget about time. Those who wish to can go on an amphibian boat tour. Stay the night in the town of Höfn, also known as the capital of lagoons, or in the surrounding area.
Day 8 / Skógar-Reykjavík
Breakfast. Return to Reykjavík. Stop by the Skogar region on the way, home of the stunningly beautiful Skógafoss waterfall. Optional visit to the National Museum with an impressive exposition of historical objects and buildings. Free time. Stay the night in Reykjavík.
Day 9 / Reykjavik-Keflavík
Breakfast. Shuttle to the airport. Flight back home.
